Clippers F Griffin won’t defend dunk crown
Los Angeles Clippers forward and reigning 2011 Slam Dunk Contest winner Blake Griffin, won’t defend his title at this year’s dunk competition.Griffin told ESPNLA.com on Thursday he plans to take it a lot easier during the 2012 All-Star weekend in Orlando than he did last year.”As of right now I don’t plan on being in it. Those dunk contests aren’t my thing…Last year was hectic and it kind of made it unenjoyable,” said Griffin.The 22-year-old jumped over a car to help win the competition in 2011.The NBA announced on Thursday that the Griffin was voted by the fans to the starting lineup of the Western Conference All-Star team.
