The Los Angeles Clippers aren’t happy with the rash of hard fouls on All-Star power forward Blake Griffin.According to the Los Angeles Times, the team is unhappy with the target teams have put on Griffin, who has embarrassed defenders with his highlight-reel dunks throughout his NBA career. Opponents are opting to hit Griffin with hard fouls and avoid ending up on the Plays of the Night.”I was told by somebody – I ain’t going to say who – he is Public Enemy No. 1 as far as dunking,” Los Angeles point guard Chris Paul told reporters. “We try to protect him. He gets beat up on the offensive end.”The most recent attack on Griffin came in Thursday’s 93-90 loss to the Phoenix Suns when center Robin Lopez grabbed Griffin by the neck rather than give up a fast-break dunk. Lopez was give a flagrant-two and ejected from the game.”The playoffs are going to be full of hard fouls, but there’s a difference between a hard foul when you’re going for the ball or going for someone’s head,” Griffin told the media after the game. “You expect hard fouls, but not like that.”He is averaging 20.3 points and 10.9 rebounds this season.
