Coach Thibodeau Praises Kirk Hinrich

Kirk Hinrich’s best game of the season provided coach Tom Thibodeau the platform to preach.

“The guy has been playing well all season,” Thibodeau said. “He has our second-highest plus-minus. You guys keep talking about what he’s not doing. All I see is a guy playing well. If you look at how he has shot over the last 10 games before this one, he was shooting 47 percent from 3. He’s doing a great job running our team. That’s what I know.”

Hinrich flirted with a triple double Friday night, finishing with 16 points, nine rebounds and eight assists in the 110-106 victory over the Knicks.

“I felt better,” Hinrich said. “I was moving better, aggressive. My shot has been going down. It just has been a matter of searching out my opportunities.”
