Coach Woodson Feels ‘Bad’ for Melo
You gotta love Mike Woodson for constantly apologizing for playing guys too many minutes.
He was at it again after playing Carmelo Anthony the entire second half. Melo wound up with 43 minutes in his second game back from a knee-drainage procedure. It wouldn’t be so bad if Woodson wouldn’t be yapping before the game about limiting Melo in his first few games after the procedure. But he really wanted this win, big time. “I talked about it at the top of the game not playing him very big minutes,” Woodson said. “But this was a game we had to go get. I just couldn’t find a gap to sit him. I feel bad about it. Hopefully he’ll sleep, ice up and be ready for (tonight).’’
