And the kicker is that he (Jae Crowder) wants to be here. Long term. Not just for this season or next. But he sees himself as a Maverick and, if we will have him, a transplanted Texan.

“I really want to make this my home,” said Crowder, who is operating on a two-year contract. “I really enjoy playing for the organization, and I like Texas and Dallas. So that’s one of my biggest goals for now, to try to make this my home. I want to help us win games. I don’t look forward to moving to another team. I want to make this my home for my whole career.”
