Cuban Not Ending Bitterness Toward Fisher
Mark Cuban believes former Mavericks point guard Derek Fisher could use a lesson in loyalty.
Cuban, speaking before Sunday’s game against Fisher and the Oklahoma City Thunder, said he saw Fisher’s point about how he views the Mavericks’ disappointment with his departure from Dallas as a positive reflection on him.
“When he hadn’t been picked up he called me multiple times asking for advice,” Cuban said. “So it wasn’t like we just called up his agent and said, would you like to come playfor the Mavs? Are you interested? He was pitching me, calling me and emailing me, a lot.
“That kind of added to it, because I really tried to help him out. And then to have him pull this stuff … But it wasn’t his first time.
“His history, I shouldn’t have been surprised what happened.”
