Forward D.J. White, a young NBA journeyman who has played for Charlotte and Oklahoma City, and whose season for Shanghai of the Chinese League just ended, is set to sign with the Boston Celtics once his paperwork clears.
“We’re hoping,” Head Coach Doc Rivers said of the forward, who may join the team as soon as Sunday in Portland or Monday in Utah.
