Nowitzki practices, not sure of return

Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki went through practice on Wednesday, the first time he has worked out since knee surgery in October.
Several outlets reported that Nowitzki didn’t give a date for his return, but said it would be after Christmas.
“Not really. We’ll just see how it goes,” the Dallas Morning News quoted Nowitzki responding to the question of a return. “This is the first day stopping, pushing off, moving. We’ll see how it reacts. I’m going to do that a couple times, and do some contact for a while. Maybe any time after Christmas, that’ll be fun. (I at least want) a couple practices under my belt. But there’s no real date set. So we’ll have to see how the knee responds to the first couple workouts.”
