Damian LIllard’s rookie of the year honors can wait.

He’s just starting to show his skills.

The Portland Trail Blazers point guard took the All-Star weekend skills competition Saturday night, beating Philadelphia 76ers All-Star Jrue Holiday in the final round. Lillard, the No. 6 pick out of Weber State, breezed through the course of passes, jump shots, dribbling and a layup easily in both rounds.

Lillard’s 29.8-second final round won easily against Holiday, who completed the course in 35.6 seconds thanks to two missed jump shots and two missed passes.

Defending champion Tony Parker of the San Antonio Spurs was the favorite to repeat, but he finished the course in a night-worst 48.7 seconds to be eliminated in Round 1 and hand the Eastern Conference team points for the overall night-long competition.

Lillard edged Jeremy Lin of the host Houston Rockets for the Western Conference’s spot in the finals. Lillard finished in 28.8 seconds, Lin in 35.8.
