Dan Gadzuric Headed To Dallas
The Texas Legends announced today that they haveacquired Dan Gadzuric from the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in exchange for Maine’s second round pick in the 2012 NBA D-League draft which was acquired by the Legends on Dec. 28, 2011.
Gadzuric (6-11, 240) played in 42 NBA games last season, 14 with the New Jersey Nets and 28 for the Golden State Warriors averaging 2.8 points and 3.2 rebounds in 11.0 minutes.
In nine NBA seasons, Gadzuric has career averages of 4.7 points on 50.0 percent shooting with 4.4 rebounds in 14.8 minutes. The Milwaukee Bucks drafted Gadzuric 34th overall in the 2002 NBA Draft out of the University of California where he averaged 10.5 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in 122 career games.
The move comes at a time when the Dallas Mavericks are down a couple of big men, with Brendan Haywood and Brandan Wright both sidelined by injuries. There’s a very real chance that Gadzuric could get a shot at returning to the NBA if he plays well for the Legends.
