David Lee to Blake Griffin: ‘Stop flopping’

The NBA has promised to crack down on flopping by way of fines, but the league’s players are now on the patrol as well.

In the Golden State Warriors’ 114-110 win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday, David Lee shoved Blake Griffin underneath the basket late in the fourth quarter. Griffin then bumped Lee, and the two had to be separated by an official.

But Lee was clearly upset about Griffin’s histrionics and delivered a message: “Stop flopping.”

Griffin’s reaction to being shoved wasn’t egregious, but he could have come up with a better response to Lee than a palms-up expression that says, “Who, me?”

As for Lee, he probably elicited a round of applause from some of the Clippers’ other foes who were watching the game.
