New Orleans Hornets rookie forward Anthony Davis suffered a sprained left ankle during the second quarter of Monday afternoon’s game against the Sacramento Kings and did not return for the second half, the team announced.

Davis injured the same left ankle earlier this season.

“You can’t stop injuries, they happen,” Davis said. “I just got to find a way to overcome it.”

After playing 27 games, which includes 23 starts, Davis was averaging 13.2 points and 8.0 rebounds.
