Del Negro on Losing Players: ‘Ridiculous’
Los Angeles Clippers coach Vinny Del Negro still has a bit of an edge going into Monday’s game vs. the Memphis Grizzlies after enduring rumors that he was on the verge of being fired last month.
“Ridiculous,” Del Negro told USA TODAY Sports of reports that he’d lost his locker room.
“Everyone goes through rough patches,” he continued. “Teams are losing games. The Western Conference is very difficult. You’re dealing with a lot of things with this season, a whole new team. People that (coach) understand how difficult it is. If you haven’t gone through it, you don’t know.”
