Tom Benson’s purchase of the Hornets on Friday brought stability to the team’s future in New Orleans. It also has brought steadiness to the bench and front office. According to a league source, Benson plans to keep Monty Williams as coach and Dell Demps as general manager, both of whom were hired in 2010.

Williams said he’s eager to talk to Benson and discuss his plans for the team.

“I’m pretty sure we’ll sit down and talk at his convenience,” said Williams, who has a year remaining on his three-year contract. “I bought a Subway sandwich today, and he spent $300 million. I’m pretty sure he’s got more to do than I do.”
