Denver’s Fournier Likely Stays Overseas?

The Nuggets drafted Frenchman Evan Fournier, No. 20 overall, in Thursday’s NBA draft — the top international player picked. The 19-year-old shooting guard stands 6-feet-6 and, as Nuggets director of scouting Mike Bratz said, “He had a great workout here — quality player, terrific shooter.”
But will he even be a Nugget next season?
Asked if Fournier will play for Denver — or remain overseas as a Nuggets asset, Denver executive Masai Ujiri said, “We’re going to talk about that. We wanted that option. We have the option of both. We’ll see about our roster — we’re pretty full. Another thing attractive there was we wanted that flexibility there and to get a young player at age 19.”
