Deron Not Pinning Hopes on Lopez Return
(Brook) Lopez isn’t likely to be ready for the Knicks, either, rendering Brooklyn a sitting duck for Tyson Chandler and Carmelo Anthony. The last time these two teams played, the Nets were healthy and rolling. Now, they’re standing around on the court, waiting for Lopez, looking as if they don’t know how to win without him.
“I don’t want to think like that,” Deron Williams said. “We definitely want him back but I don’t want to think we don’t have a chance to win without him.”
It has become painfully clear the Nets will be the same-old-Nets if Lopez doesn’t return soon, and nobody knows when that will happen.
