Vitale forgets he’s on TV, asks for a ‘TO, baby’

Dick Vitale was live with Rece Davis on ESPN’s bracket show on Sunday night and made a routine mistake in mixing up New Mexico and UNLV. When there’s 68 teams and 34 games to break down, that happens. But Vitale compounds the error by assuming he was taping his segment, leading to a fun exchange in which he asks for, of course, a “TO baby.”

Vitale is a rarity come tournament time. Despite being one of the best-known broadcasters in men’s college basketball, he has never called NCAA tournament championship action.

But during the upcoming March Madness, Vitale will do just that as an ESPN game analyst during the NCAA Final Four — for its international TV feed. Enjoy your ‘Diaper Dandies’, planet earth!

Thanks to Awful Announcing for the clip.
