Dirk Nowitzki Undergoes Knee Surgery
The Dallas Mavericks have announced All-Star forward Dirk Nowitzki underwent arthroscopic surgery to his right knee. It is expected Nowitzki will be able to return to on-court activities within six weeks.
If the timetable for Nowitzki’s return takes the full six weeks he would potentially miss the Mavericks’ first 16 games of the 2012-13 campaign, which includes two games against the revamped Los Angeles Lakers and a plethora of expected playoff teams.
