Wilkins leads Team Bosh to Shooting Stars win

Dominique Wilkins doesn’t mess around in All-Star weekend contests.
The NBA Hall of Famer former dunk contest champion showed his fire again Saturday in leading Team Bosh to a victory in the shooting stars competition, which opened the night’s contest show. Miami Heat forward Chris Bosh and Chicago Sky forward Swin Cash joined Wilkins in the three-player tournament.
The Western Conference teams dominated the first round of the contest, with Russell Westbrook, Maya Moore and Robert Horry posting the best showing of the night. But then things got sloppy.
Wilkins hit the halfcourt shot to advance Team Bosh to the second round from the Eastern Conference.
The second round was much slower, with Team Bosh winning with a time of 1 minute, 29 seconds, about a full minute worse than Team Westbrook’s first-round showing.
The worst shot of the night had to go to Horry, the retired seven-time NBA champion, whose first try at the halfcourt shot barely hit the backboard wide right.
