Duke University Hosting Nets Training Camp
Taking a page out of the old Knicks, the Brooklyn Nets are headed to the Carolinas for training camp, holding it at Duke University.
Nets GM Billy King is a former Dukie and Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov continues to spare no expense. The Nets will travel to Duke on Sept. 30 following media day in Brooklyn, and conduct practices at the Michael W. Krzyzewski Center from Oct. 1-5.
King was on the 1988 Final Four Duke squad and won NCAA Defensive Player of the Year that season. He is still close to Coach K. The Nets first-round pick last June is from Duke, Mason Plumlee, the 7-footer.
