Howard used ‘Gangnam Style’ for rehab

Dwight Howard, Los Angeles Lakers superstar center and flatulence maestro, does it Gangnam style. Of course he does.
Howard says Gangnam Style, the Korean pop rap song that’s taken over the Internet with its addictive beat and absurd dance, has helped him recover from back surgery this offseason. He went on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and displayed his dance skills while describing the medical benefits he’s decided he received from the K-Pop diddy.
“Gagnam style has helped me strengthen my core and lower back. I’ve got a great PT program, but this dance has taken me to the next level,” Howard said (via Laker Nation).
He demonstrated his moves on the show with a little of the lasso move.
Kobe Bryant, Los Angeles Lakers superstar guard and jaw-jutting serious person, also appeared on Ellen in a separate segment. He did not dance. This does not surprise anyone.
Now, Howard’s dance moves were a little stiff. It’s not that he can’t get there, but if he wants a spot in rapper Psy’s next hit video, he might need to smooth things out like the dude in the elevator with the cowboy hat.
But we’re still pretty impressed. I mean, dude is 6-11 and just had back surgery. And he’s not a Korean pop star, so we have to assume he’s less experienced at Korean pop dances than Korean pop stars.
