Okafor kicked off a roller coaster

Emeka Okafor was too tall to tug on Superman’s cape Monday night at a Washington Wizards event at Six Flags America.
Deadspin received multiple tips that the 6-foot-10 center was forced off the park’s signature roller coaster Superman: Ride of Steel after park employees realized he exceeded the maximum height limit.
Okafor and other Wizards were at the park as part of an event for season ticket holders.
He should have gone golfing with Yao Ming instead.
The maximum height for the ride is 6-foot-4. That’s tall for the average amusement park attendee, but cuts down on most basketball players. Of the 20 players on Washington’s preseason roster, 14 would have received the boot for being too tall.
A big kudos to the Six Flags crew who took Okafor off the ride. I’ve been to that Six Flags before and attentive isn’t an adjective often used to describe employees at the park. For Okafor, not being able to go on the Superman ride stinks. Going on the Superman ride and learning why there’s a height limit would have stunk a whole lot more.
