Fab Melo, Boston Celtics 7-foot rookie center, participated in Thursday’s practice, the club tweeted.

Melo has been out with a concussion he sustained when he bumped his head on the doorway of a South Dakota hotel room a couple weeks back. Melo had been assigned to the Maine Red Claws of the NBDL and the team was in Sioux Falls for a back to back against the Skyforce.

Chris Wilcox, who suffered a thumb injury in mid-December, is still out but the team tweeted that Celtics coach Doc Rivers said Wilcox is “ahead of schedule” for his return.

The Celtics have been playing much better of late, winning their past four games — including wins against the Indiana Pacers, Atlanta Hawks and New York Knicks.
