Farmar excited about playing in Israel
New Jersey Nets guard Jordan Farmar expressed excitement Thursday as he arrived in Tel Aviv ahead of his stint in the Euroleague.Farmar signed on with Israeli champion Maccabi Tel Aviv for the coming season. He’ll play there until the NBA lockout comes to an end.Farmar, one of only two Jewish players in the NBA, was greeted by a throng of fans at the airport, where he happily signed autographs.The 25-year-old averaged 9.6 points and five assists in 73 games with the Nets last season.
