Five free agents who fit Spurs/Heat mold

The Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs might have eight future Hall of Famers between them, but these two teams have built much of their success on finding and developing role players who excel at a handful of specific skills.
Most of the Heat’s offense is handled by LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, but Mike Miller’s three-point shooting ability and Chris Andersen’s rebounding and defensive energy are just as important to their success.
Likewise, the Spurs’ Big Three of Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili is complemented by sharpshooters such as Danny Green, Gary Neal and Matt Bonner.
Given the success of these two teams, the rest of the league may look to sign players using a similar strategy as the two teams playing for the NBA title when free agency begins: targeting players with specialized skill sets that compliment their core players.
Here are some candidates to cash in on those skills:
Tony Allen, Memphis Grizzlies guard

Portland’s lack of rim protection (the Blazers allowed a league-high 47.4 points a game in the paint this season) proves the five-year veteran isn’t cut out to be a starting center.
