Former Portland Trail Blazers center Arvydas Sabonis is in a hospital in Lithuania after suffering a heart attack, the team announced Tuesday night.

A statement from the Trail Blazers said Sabonis’ condition is not believed to be life-threatening.

“Our thoughts are with Arvydas and his family at this time,” the statement said. “We wish him well in a speedy recovery.”

Sabonis, 46, was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in August.

After a stellar international career, the 7-3 Sabonis played seven seasons with the Trail Blazers. He averaged 12.0 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in 470 games and helped Portland reach the Western Conference finals in 1999 and 2000.
