Charlie Spoonhour, who built Missouri State into a nationally recognized men’s basketball program, died Wednesday. He was 72.
Spoonhour, who was also the head coach at St. Louis and Nevada-Las Vegas, had battled health issues since undergoing a lung transplant in 2010.
He coached 19 seasons at the Division I level, compiling a record of 373-202.
