Former UNLV basketball coach Jerry Tarkanian suffered a mild heart attack on Tuesday.
“It was a mild heart attack. Supposedly, he’s OK right now,” son Danny Tarkanian told the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “He said he feels pretty good, but he was scared.”
The elder Tarkanian, 81, led the Runnin’ Rebels to the 1990 national championship and four Final Four appearances.
