With camp just weeks away, (Pistons coach Lawrence) Frank has the luxury of having time to work his players, unlike last season when he, like all teams and coaches, had to deal with a lockout and playing just about every other day.

“We have a majority of our team here,” Frank said. “I’ve been very, very happy with the work our guys have put in, not just in the month of September, but the whole summer. It has been a very productive summer for our guys. Our staff has been able to touch base with every one of them in different places, whether it was here or in their hometowns or other places. It’s good to see how determined the guys are and to build this thing.”
