Gerald Wallace Out With Ankle Injury

Not everything went the Nets’ way in Saturday night’s season-opening win over the Raptors at the Barclays Center.

Swingman Gerald Wallace injured his left ankle in the closing minute, rolling it on Kyle Lowry’s foot as he attempt to block his shot on a fast-break attempt. Wallace went to the locker room and later had X-rays, which Avery Johnson said were negative.

Wallace is considered day-to-day, which the coach considers good news. So does Joe Johnson.
