Gerald Wallace Playing Too Recklessly?
Posted By HOOPSWORLD On November 7, 2012 @ 4:52 pm In All,Headlines,NBA Headlines | No Comments
Wallace has played only 17 games since he was traded to the Nets in March. His first injury with the Nets – a strained groin – occurred when he leaped over Antawn Jamison for a putback jam.
He suffered four concussions during his stint with the Bobcats, along with a separated shoulder, a collapsed lung and a fractured rib. Wallace has never played more than 76 games in a season, averaging 61 in an 11-year career.
The 30-year-old said in training camp he may adjust his game to adhere to an aging body. Then he quickly retracted.
“That’s the only way I know how to play,” he said.
