Glen Davis breaks foot, out for season
Orlando power forward Glen Davis broke his left foot against the New York Knicks on Wednesday and is out for the rest of the season.
“I just wished him the best,” Magic guard Jameer Nelson said. “I gave him a hug. There is nothing you can say to a guy other than: ‘I’m here for you.’ I hope everything goes well for him. I feel bad for him.”
Davis had been fighting a shoulder sprain, but was having a career season going into Wednesday’s game. He was averaging 15.5 points and 7.5 rebounds.
“It’s not good,” Magic coach Jacque Vaughn said. “But it’s a good thing that we have a full roster and we’ll use those minutes for others to help our team.”
