Grizzlies Still Tinkering with Rotations

Many players might see the court on any given night, though (Grizzlies coach Lionel) Hollins doesn’t sound necessarily committed to a 10-man rotation just because this is his deepest team yet.
“I told the guys the other night that I have no problem playing the starters big minutes,” Hollins said. “I told them ‘If you want to be on the bandwagon then you’ve got to show me every day in practice and in every exhibition game. You have to show that you deserve to be out there.’
The question will be centered on how much players such as Quincy Pondexter, Wayne Ellington and perhaps Josh Selby can justify having Rudy Gay and Tony Allen sit for long stretches.
“As we go forward, guys will play as long as they deserve to play,” Hollins said. “If they’re not performing, you can’t keep trotting them out there.”
