Hawks Extend Qualifying Offer To Jeff Teague

The Atlanta Hawks will be extremely busy this summer possessing only three players with guaranteed contracts for the 2013-14 campaign. Hawks president of basketball operations and general manager Danny Ferry has maintained throughout the past few months re-signing starting incumbent point guard Jeff Teague will be one of the club’s priorities.
On Sunday, the team extended a qualifying offer to Teague which will make the four year veteran a restricted free agent this summer and give the franchise the option to match any offer the guard receives.
The qualifying offer is worth $4.5 million and the cap hold the Hawks will incur in the meantime is $6.1 million.
