Atlanta Hawks forward Al Horford has been cleared for contact and is nearing a return to game action.Horford has been out since early January with a torn pectoral muscle. His original timetable to return was four months.There’s still no official return date set for Horford, but he’s expected to be ready for the playoffs.Horford was averaging 12.4 points and seven rebounds in 11 games prior to suffering the injury.

For those saying the Nets can't do a sign-and-trade for Howard, they can as long as they're under apron amount after transaction's complete. The Atlanta Hawks will also pursue Dwight Howard. Their dream scenario is to sign Howard and Chris Paul. They can offer two max contracts. Nets can sign-and-trade for Howard if their under the apron amount after transaction is complete. That means they must dump salary in deal.
