Dwyane Wade’s nephew shot in Chicago

The nephew of Miami Heat star guard Dwyane Wade was one of 13 people shot – two fatally – during an outburst of violence in Chicago last week.According to reports, Wade’s nephew, whose name has been withheld, was at a store on the South Side of Chicago when a hooded man entered and opened fire, hitting six people, one of which was killed. It was part of a series of shootings in the area Thursday night.Wade told reporters that he had heard about the shooting Thursday night and had a heavy heart when Miami visited the Toronto Raptors Friday.“My family tried to keep me out of it while I was playing the game,” Wade told the media. “So now that the game is over hopefully I can call and get a chance to talk to them.”Wade scored 30 points in the Heat’s 113-101 win over the Raptors. He’s averaging 23 points on the season.
