Heat, Celtics face busy schedule in East finals

There will be little time for rest in the Eastern Conference Finals as the NBA released the schedule Sunday.

Beginning Monday, the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat will play every other day should the series reach a full seven games.

The compressed series, which is a 2-2-1-1-1 format, starts at Miami. All games will be televised by ESPN.

The East schedule is the result of the NBA attempting to end the season by mid-June in a lockout-shortened season. The NBA announced earlier this year the NBA Finals will start either June 10 or June 12 with June 26 as the scheduled date for Game 7.

The Eastern Conference finals schedule:

Game 1 — Monday at Miami 8:30PM (ESPN)

Game 2 — Wednesday at Miami 8:30PM (ESPN)

Game 3 — Friday at Boston 8:30PM (ESPN)

Game 4 — June 3 at Boston 8:30PM (ESPN)

Game 5 — June 5 at Miami 8: 8:30PM (ESPN)

Game 6 — June 7 at Boston 8:30PM (ESPN)

Game 7 — June 9 at Miami 8:30PM (ESPN)
