The Knicks announced on Saturday afternoon that Henry Sims, John Shurna, Oscar Bellfield and Mychel Thompson were waived.

Each player received minutes during the preseason, but out of all the training camp invites, Chris Copeland stood out the most. Now that the roster stands at 15, it’s very likely that Copeland and Rasheed Wallace will lock up the Knicks’ final two guaranteed roster spots.

A source close to Copeland told ESPNNewYork.com on Wednesday that he believed the 28-year-old would make the team.
