Hinkie: ‘Hopeful’ Wroten Will Prove Himself
Guard Tony Wroten, who the (Philadelphia) Sixers acquired last week from the (Memphis) Grizzlies for a future second-round pick, is in a situation similar to a bunch of Sixers players. A second-year pro (like Arnett Moultrie and Royce White), Wroten has a lot at stake because he’s essentially playing for his future.
“I’m looking forward to seeing what Tony can give us,” (GM Sam) Hinkie said. “He’s a young, athletic, attack-minded player who belongs on a team like ours. I think he has a chance. We’re hopeful this can be a place he can really improve.”
