The New Orleans Hornets claimed center Chris Johnson off waivers Tuesday.Terms of the deal were not announced due to team policy.Johnson was waived by the Portland Trail Blazers on Mar. 15. The 26-year-old averaged 1.6 points and 1.5 rebounds in 4.7 minutes per game before being released.The former LSU Tiger began his NBA career with the Boston Celtics in 2010-11, appearing in four games for the Celtics.
