Hornets’ Davis Practices; Return Soon

After sitting out the previous two games with a sprained left shoulder that involves a bone bruise, New Orleans Hornets rookie forward Anthony Davis practiced Sunday, but was held out of contact work.

Hornets Head Coach Monty Williams said they’ll wait until Monday, likely during the team’s shootaround, to see how he feels before making a determination if Davis will play against the Orlando Magic.

“We put him through a lot from a strenuous standpoint, but he didn’t do anything from a contact standpoint,” Williams said.

Near the end of Sunday’s practice, Davis was seen taking shots and grabbing rebounds while working against Carlos Daniel, the Hornets assistant coach/director of player performance. Davis didn’t appear to have any problems with his left shoulder.
