Hornets G Gordon expected to sit out Friday

New Orleans Hornets guard Eric Gordon will likely sit out Friday night’s game against the visiting Phoenix Suns to rest his ailing knee.A swollen knee kept the talented 23-year-old out of the lineup for Wednesday’s victory over the Boston Celtics. It isn’t clear when Gordon suffered the injury.Marco Belinelli is expected to take Gordon’s place in the starting lineup.Gordon scored 20 points in the Hornets’ season opener Monday against the Suns, his first game with New Orleans after coming over in a blockbuster trade with the Los Angeles Clippers in the offseason.
