New Orleans Hornets guard Jarrett Jack called Ray Allen a “traitor” Friday, in response to the former Boston Celtic signing with the NBA champion Miami Heat.

“Am I wrong for thinking ray allen is a traitor for signing with his rival team the heat? Tell me what u think!!!!!!” Jack wrote on Twitter.

ESPN.com reported that Allen likely accepted the Heat’s mid-level exception that starts at $3.09 million, which means he rejected an offer from Boston worth twice as much.

Allen, 36, averaged 14.2 points per game last season for the Celtics, his fifth with the team. The Heat advanced to the NBA Finals by taking out Boston in seven games.
