New Orleans point guard Jarrett Jack will sit out Monday’s season opener at Phoenix.

Jarrett will serve a one-game suspension for a reckless driving charge during the summer.

Newly acquired Greivis Vasquez will get the start in place of Jack.

The Hornets made a trade for Vasquez last week in a deal that send Quincy Pondexter to the Memphis Grizzlies.

Vasquez averaged 3.6 points and 2.2 assists in 70 games as a rookie last season.
