The Lakers’ 106-93 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday marked their third consecutive defeat and seventh in a row on the road. The Lakers (17-25) continue making it harder to climb out of their 12 th-place spot in the Western Conference standings.

Dwight Howard aggravated his right shoulder with 2:21 left in the second quarter and didn’t return and finished with only two points on 0-of-4 shooting and two rebounds in 14 minutes. The Lakers will re-evaluate him today on an injury that caused him to miss three games two weeks ago.

“It felt real bad,” Howard said as he walked out of the arena. “I tried to play through it. I didn’t want to hurt it any worse.”
