Hunter sees Lin as big part of union

Billy Hunter, the Executive Director of the NBA Players Association, sees big things down the road for New York Knicks guard Jeremy Lin.Hunter told Bloomberg News that he could see Lin, a Harvard alum, becoming the player’s representative for the Knicks and could even earn a spot on the union’s executive committee.Hunter says the Knicks overnight sensation has expressed interest in becoming more involved with the Players Association. Lin has a degree in economics from Harvard, which seems to fit the ongoing battles between players and owners.
