Iman Shumpert is expected to make his season debut against the Pistons on Thursday after being sidelined since last May following major knee surgery.

“We talked about that a little bit in film session this morning,” the coach (Mike Woodson) said. “My thing is he’s already going to be loose after warming up. I’ll talk to the doctors more in detail based on practice today. He’s already loose. Why let him go over there and stiffen up and then try and restart him?”
