INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The Indiana Pacers have recalled rookie center Miles Plumlee from the NBA’s Developmental League.

Plumlee had been playing for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants since being assigned to the Pacers’ D-League affiliate late last week. Indiana selected Plumlee with the 26th pick overall in June’s draft, Larry Bird’s final move as team president.

The Indiana native is considered a raw offensive talent.

But despite the Pacers’ early-season struggles, the 6-foot-10 rookie has seen little action. He has played a total of 16 minutes in four games, has four points and five rebounds, and has twice been assigned to Fort Wayne.

Saturday’s win in Detroit put Indiana at 13-11, one game behind division-leading Chicago.
