Indiana senior point guard Verdell Jones III suffered a season-ending knee injury in Thursday’s win over Penn State.

Jones tore the ACL in his right knee in the first half of the Big Ten Conference tournament first-round game.

An MRI exam taken late Thursday revealed the severity of the injury, Indiana officials said Friday.

Jones started 103 of 117 games in his career and finished as the school’s 23rd leading scorer with 1,347 points.
