Injured Grizzlies’ Randolph Out Tonight
Memphis Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph will not play Sunday evening against the Orlando Magic because of a left ankle sprain.
Randolph is considered day-to-day. Forward Darrell Arthur will start in place of Randolph.
“It’s swollen,” Randolph said of his ankle. “I’ll see how it feels in a couple of days. I want to get it 100 percent.”
Randolph was hurt Friday on the opening possession of a loss to the Miami Heat. He landed awkwardly after attempting a runner in the lane. Randolph immediately grabbed his left ankle and writhed in pain. He tried to jog and shake off the injury but was clearly hobbled the rest of the game.
